wow that was chicken shite. Kid deserved to be tossed and should be looking at more. The catcher's dad should have gone Randy Marsh on the other team's coach and the runner's dad

Considering he did it before touching the plate, it should have been an out and no run scored, too.

That was just BAD. Catcher was on the other side of the plate...he clearly had his mind made up he was going to do it. He learned it from somewhere, or someone. Just terrible.

Dirty play that was worthy of ejection. Not a huge deal unless it is a pattern. Kids see that in the MLB and probably was looking for a chance to have a collision at the plate.
If any parents or coaches made comments or actions encouraging it then it's a problem. Saying the kid is lucky to be alive is a severe exaggeration.

Doubt it was coached, but more of a kid emulating something they see on SportsCenter.

There's tons of Youtube videos that show the same play. Kids can easily watch these and want to act it out. Usually that's the case
