10U ball. No play at the plate. Catcher nowhere near blocking the plate. Runner goes out of his way. BTW, he was immediately ejected. Surely, he was taught this. By whom? Coach? Parent? Did the kid misinterpret what he was taught?

Very dirty. Glad he was ejected.

Is this really what adults are teaching little kids to do?

Cheap shot...ump did the right thing by kicking him out of the game.

Don't know who coached the kid on this, if anyone, but the kid needs to have a talking with.

Hope this is a learning lesson for the kid and that he continues his baseball career learning to play the game in the right way.

It was very dirty and that kid deserves to be thrown out. but from what the person who posted it said in his description

kid is lucky to be alive today!

That's a bit dramatic.

Goddam that was just disturbing. He trucked that catcher without hesitation. He was clearly taught this.

Some kids, just like adults, are assholes. You don't have to teach that.

Some kids are more competitive in spirit at a younger age and some have parents that pray upon that competitive spirit thinking they are manufacturing an uber athlete. In the end, they are simply raising a little a-hole.

Had a guy like this on our teams. He was an a-hole when we were 12. Of course he went into coaching. Heard a few months ago he was fired for cheating on his wife at the school he teaches. shite never changes.

REALLY dirty play there.

I would shy away from the kid being taught or coached to do this, without knowing more about the story, though.

Maybe there was some kind of grudge between the two players. Not defending the kid at all... that was totally uncalled for. But sometimes people forget that kids have their own agendas, too. They aren't the blank slates some people think they are.

Jeff Winchester posted that. Was first round catcher from Rummel. Obviously he was a little hot about it and wanted to whip somebody's arse.

Very dirty play

I'd also like to see it in real time instead of slow motion

He should be suspended for multiple games.

Not sure what the policy of the league is though, he probably will miss at least one correct?

The umpire was correct in ejecting him, there was no need for that play.

I'm assuming a coach told the kid he could truck the catcher if he was blocking the plate, and the kid high on adrenaline had his mind made up he was going to truck the catcher midway home.
