Who getting in over them? The B1G was overrated this year. Michigan got exposed, and now OSU is as well. PSU is no worldbeater themself.

So let's say we have a 3 or 4 loss conference champion one year because that division sucks and the winner of the other division lays an egg in the championship game.

Well, considering there are 5 conferences and only 4 spots, you're assuming that happens to two conference champs. I think that's unlikely.
