In 1999, Flutie led the bills to 10-5. In game 16, they played Johnson due to the playoff spot being locked up. After the game, the owner told Wade Philips he must start Johnson in the playoff game Keep in mind Flutie was coming off a pro bowl season in 98 and was playing very well in 99 as well. Johnson went on to have only 10 completions, 2 fumbles, and a safety in a game that the Bills lost on the Music City Miracle

I mean is that not insane. I think people in New Orleans would murder Benson if he pulled a stunt like that

The Jets' ownership signed Tebow against Rex Ryan's wishes.

It was so fricked up.

Rob Johnson lit up a Colts team fighting for a playoff spot. He was a 25 million dollar man or whatever who went 0-3 in 1998 before Flutie magic took over.

Bills win that game and play in the super bowl without that bullshite move

that colts team was resting its starters....which made it even more puzzeling. I was so mad. I swore as long as johnson was there i was done with buffalo. He had sports illustrated piece that off season and he was such a smug dick

Probably, the other that comes to mind is Jerry Jones insisting on drafting QB Quincy Carter about 3 rounds earlier than he was projected. He went on to stink it up on and off the field.

And that wasn't even Ralph Wilson's worst move. He fired Bill Polian after an argument with his chief financial owner. Wilson is seriously one of the WOAT owners nobody ever talks about.

They def win that Titans game. I mean Johnson played one the worst games ever and they barely lost. Flutie would have won that game easily
