I don't like Fed because he's boring. But I don't hate him at all and have crazy respect for him.
He was so good at his prime it looked like he wasn't trying.

That is some pretty damn good insight in that post. MidnightVibe will go apeshite over this, but I have days when I think Nadal is basically Thomas Muster or Jim Courier in a poly string era.

I am Sampras guy and he's more boring than Fed. But Fed just seems to have an aura I don't like. Probably still pissed he ran Pete in Wimbledon once.

I love you, but this is terrible. Fed would have 10 Wimbledon already with 90's grass and Nadal would have zero. Hardcourts, it's difficult to say how they've changed. I know there is no carpet indoors anymore. Fed would have wrecked shop on carpet. But, if the sport has been slowed down and homogenized (which I tend to agree with), this has led to five hour Atari pong defensive marathon struggles that benefit guys like Nadal, Djokovic, and Murray.
Great post.

Really??? Geez, I get chills watching both of these guys. True virtuosity on the court.
Do you mean off the court, because on it, not many more I'd rather watch than those two?

Among active athletes, no. There are athletes who have more fans than him (Ronaldo, Messi, LeBron) but all of them get a lot of hate. Nobody dislikes Federer.

Off the court of course
Pete was never boring on the court his serve volley was erotic
Umm I know someone who does

Usain Bolt and Manny Pac also probably don't have many haters.

Hating Roger Federer? Unforgivable.

Ernie Els is one of the coolest people you can meet. Met him at the Zurich a few years back. Totally chill and cool customer

guess that's what happens when Fed is Nadal's whipping boy for like a decade straight.
Totally makes sense that the 2nd GOAT owned the GOAT "for like a decade straight"

As a Djoker fan, I admire Federer.
