denying that would be downright foolish.

i might be trolling, but i think Catholic has been more impressive over the years despite never winning a title. Parkview's never been among the top few teams in the state like them or U-High. talent matters.

also Istrouma back in the day...

Parkview would have beaten any team in the state in 2001.

It's always been a wannabe program. A high school Ole Miss.

Is Drew DiLeo the only Parkview guy to start in major D-1 besides Beckwith? If so, I'm impressed at how successful they've been without elite talent.

2001 was sick. 61-19 in the dome against a team that had a future nfl-er. 2003 also had 4 D1 guys, as well. Ppl can talk about talent and playing against 5a schools, but they also have 3 times as many kids in the school to choose from.

Lyle Hitt. But yeah. Not many. It's definitely a "fundamentals" program. A bunch of non-BCS school players but not many power 6 guys.

That doesn't make any sense.

Lyle Hitt started for 3 years at RG for LSU

Also, Tanner Jenkins was an all-sun belt player for ark state. Brenton Burkhalter was pretty successful at ULL but partying was his undoing. Parkview doesn't have the elite level talent, but that have lots of mid-major talent

Gotcha. I always thought he was from Arkansas for some reason.

How does school size matter when you can pluck kids from all over an entire city? If student population matters, I fully expect Parkview would dominate that small school John Curtis.

I remember Parkview was good. I also remember that people from Parkview were way too proud of their high school athletic accomplishments. I only knew a handful after high school but they were all like that, even the ones that didn't play.
