Is Kansas an overrated basketball program?

No, just stop it. Winning the NCAA tournament is hard as frick and rarely does the real best team win. One and done is hard as hell and winning six straight is a nightmare. If these were series like the NBA, Kansas would have a couple more under Self. How many current coaches have more than one title?

They've won a top 3 basketball conference like 13 times in a row, so no, they aren't overrated.
I'm not sure why things haven't translated to as much postseason success as they would like though.

They're the Peyton Manning of college basketball programs. People try to say they're the best because of all their wins. But they can't get it done in the postseason with only 3 national titles. Which is nothing compared to the other great programs.

The knack on Self isn't that he doesn't have more titles. It's that he's only gotten past the Elite 8 two times. And his teams have been highly seeded most of the time so he's usually losing to an underdog, sometimes a big one.

YES they are overrated as frick. Sure it's hard to win nattys but with the talent they get in the conference they are in getting a 1 or 2 seed every year they should have way more final fours than they do

They are ranked 5th all time in final four appearances out of 200+ NCAA teams. That's bad?
