Is Josh Allen the most physically gifted QB ever?

Between his size, arm strength, and running ability, I say possibly. An argument could be made for Michael Vick as well, obviously the size isn’t there and arm not quite as strong, but still a cannon and running ability was off the charts. I could see an argument for Mahomes as well. What say you?

John Elway was pretty damn gifted.

Cam and Elway are both good mentions. The thing with Cam is, his arm was never close to what Allen’s is in terms of accuracy/release, but I’m not sure how much we factor that into “most physically gifted.”

I hated his arse for lighting up the Saints for a decade, but Vick has to be it. His speed was unmatched and was pretty decent as a passer.

He had an absolute cannon for an arm too.

Only thing Allen has on Vick is height, but Vick was jacked for someone 6'0 tall.

Legs - Michael Vick
Arm - Jamarcus Russell
Accuracy- Drew Brees
Physicality - Cam Newton

Josh has a little bit of all of them, but Newton is a true physical phenom.

Allen has the best size, running speed/power, and quick release throw combo that is unmatched in the NFL right now.

I don't know what else you would want from a modern QB from a physical perspective.

Jeff George. Monster talent. If he wouldn't have transfered, he would have been in the same draft as Aikman and drafted before him, #1. So he would have been a Cowboy and all that went with it. He had the arm, size, intelligence and mobility. Had a shite attitude though..

Agreed, that’s why I say he’s the most gifted. Like if you were to create a QB in a lab, it would be Josh Allen’s skill set.

Intangibles don’t get worse than Jeff George. His arm rivaled jamarcus Russell’s arm.

The strongest arm ever is supposedly some dude named Rudy but I forgot his last name. I read about him in a book where John madden said he threw a football 100 yards . I guess he could be full of shite

And yet, he STILL hasn't jumped on his fumble in the Super Bowl with the game on the line.

Too small and injury prone. Allen all day.

Randall Cunningham is up there too. He was an elite track athlete in several events (high jump, hurdles, etc). He had amazing arm strength too. Also was an all american punter in college that had 90 yd punt in the pros.
