To serve as a college head coach? It's now a know fact that he know about the abuse by Sandusky at least in 1998. How disgusting. And all to protect his program.

I won't sit here and take up for Sandusky or Paterno's sick demented asses. What I will do is defend the fans that had no idea this was going on. Imagine being a life long fan and now you have to suddenly hate the only team you have rooted for your entire life? I say frick that. I say frick Paterno, Sandusky, and all of the people involved that knew this shite was going on. I would not let them define my school or the team I root for. I would want them as far removed from the name of the university as possible. Penn State has been around a lot longer than these two pedophiles and will be around alot longer than they will. Let their asses rot in misery while a new generation of coaches rise up and make them great.

I agree with taking up for the fans that didn't know. This could happen anywhere, and fans and alums would be blindsided and in disbelief for a long time.
No comparison between this and Baylor football. BU didn't let it go on for 20 years. Both are bad, but Baylor is at least trying to right the wrongs.

IMO they're comparable, it's just that gay kiddie rape is a lot more shocking than football players raping girls their age. Also, paterno and sandusky come off like lovable grampas while nobody is shocked that briles is a scumbag.
But both schools completely turned a blind eye for the sake of winning football games while the victim count increased.
