One of only five 2B with 200 HR and 200 SB (The others are Joe Morgan, Roberto Alomar, Craig Biggio and Ryne Sandberg who are all HOFers)

Has scored 1059 career runs. Kinsler is having a great season this year with 117 runs scored. If he ages well, he could very easily end up with 1400+ runs scored. Every 2B with 1400+ runs scored is in the HOF.

52.9 WAR (18th all-time among 2B)

Is a terrific defensive 2B who's led all 2B in Defensive Runs Saved 4x during his career

Very good postseason performer with a .291/.400/.448 in 37 postseason games

On his way to being, yes. If career ended this second, no.

Steps into box.

Takes first pitch.

Eventually swings (For the fences) and hits infield pop up.

Drops head and doesn't look up on slow jog to first.

Probably my least favorite Ranger player of my time. We lost that trade, but frick Kinsler. Guy is a douche.

But yeah, if he keeps it up it's possible he ends up in the hall.

Absolutely. They asked him to be a leader while he was a Ranger and he refused. He's too self-absorbed and selfish little bitch. I was glad to see him go.

2B is tough, because it's not a premium defensive position. It's just a notch above corner outfield. Have to really have outstanding offensive numbers to be hall worthy.

Yup. At the time Profar was the No. 1 prospect in baseball and they wanted him to change positions and he wouldn't do it to better the team like Michael Young did.

Shipping him off has worked out. Odor is at 2B and while his defense still needs sharpening, he will be a Ranger great for a long time.

No. No he is not.

Chase Utley has a better shot than Kinsler.

The 200/200 thing is nice, but most of the HOFers far exceed one of those numbers, except for the Veteran's Committee guys who shouldn't have made it. Brandon Phillips will finish 200/200 and he's not getting in.

Kinsler spent a lot of time in a very favorable ballpark. Only 4 ASGs, 0 top 10 MVP finishes (only 2 top 20s) and 0 gold gloves.

Lou Whitaker and Bobby Grich are 7 and 8 in career WAR among 2Bs and they didn't even get a second year on the ballot.

If he continues to age well and end his career on the pace he is set to do so and finishes with 1400-1500 runs with the 200/200 stat and his pretty solid post season slash line ( .291/.400/.448 in 37 postseason games), all while leading 2B in defensive runs saved during his career and being 18th place all time among 2B in WAR then he is definitely getting in the HoF. Deservedly so.
