Golovkin and Kovalev are the hardest punchers in the sport. Those Eastern European boys bring some serious thunder.

Watch how fast Cotto vacates the title now that GGG called him out.

Yeah he called him out. That was awesome. That body shot in the earlier round was sick. Murray had a hell of a chin for hangin on so long

He needs to fight someone with a pulse.
His power is ridiculous though, would love to see a Cotto fight for entertainment purposes. Don't think Cotto would be any trouble for him though.

Murray is also huge for that weight class. It's the only reason why he lasted as long as he did. GGG is the goods though.

Yes. He and Maidana are probably the most notable from that time span.

One of? No. Pound for pound, he's the hardest puncher.

People keep underestimating him, saying he hasn't beaten anyone, etc. But he keeps beating better and better competition. Handily. He destroys everyone. No one, including Ward, wants to fight GGG. Kazakh power!

Exhibit A. Get out of here with that. GGG fights the best available (i.e., the best who will agree to fight him). Murray is a very good fighter and nearly beat Sergio Martinez.

Dude is a hard puncher, but easy to hit also. I still haven't seen a fighter yet that he has fought that has wallop to their punches. It would be interesting to see him fight someone like a Chavez Jr when he's in got damn shape to see if GGG can handle hard shots back at him.

Can't hate on GGG too much for his opposition because he's fighting the best that's out there who are willing to get in the ring with him. You'll never see him fight Cotto or Quillin simply because they are too chicken shite to fight him. Canelo would fight him but Oscar will never allow that to happen. Chavez Jr can ask for it all he wants but he's with Al Haymon now and he won't allow that to happen either. GGG will have to aim for guys like Lemieux, Lee, N'Dam, Korobov at middleweight. The only real challenges for him are at 168.

I'm not hating on him. Just sayin these guys he's been going through are not really impressive. I don't think Quillen or Cotto is afraid of him. They are fighters! If you're afraid you shouldn't be in the sport. I thought it was ridiculous when they said the same about Mayweather ducking Paquiao. There are stuff behind the game that you don't have a clue whatsoever as to what's going on. But sooner not later these guys will fight. Too much money in it and the public will demand it.

+1

However, I would love to see him fight Canelo.

If Ring Magazine or the WBC tell Cotto he MUST fight GGG, he would vacate the belt(s) before they could even finish their sentence. He never wanted anything to do with middleweight until Sergio Martinez was 40 and coming off of a 14 month layoff and two knee surgeries. Then Cotto demanded that the fight take place at a catch-weight. The only reason he holds that belt is because he caught Sergio at the right time and when he didn't have any legs left. Cotto even passed on fights with Andy Lee and Canelo Alvarez. The dude is a joke at this point. Margarito beat the warrior out of him in 2008.

Quillin might not be scared but Al Haymon sure is. Quillin turned down a career high payday against Matt Korobov all because Al Haymon doesn't like Jay Z (who won the purse bid to promote the fight). Haymon would never let his boy get his head knocked off by GGG.

You mean "Plaster Man" Margarito?? Dude was a damn joke! Won most of his fights with that crap in his gloves. Since he got discovered he hasn't done shite since. And Cotto beat the shite out of him in the second fight without his Plaster bullshite. Cotto took a lot of punishment in that first fight from that cheating POS. Anyone would be shell shocked after a beating like that and having doubts about fighting again. Cotto was bleeding from abnormal places like from his eyes and all. That maniac inflicted severe damage on Cotto who had to recover from that. But he has revived his career under Freddie Roach and is a much different fighter now. He definitely ain't scared of a Quillen after going through that bullshite with Margarito.
