The show is geared towards African American youth who just got home from school/practice and are eating dinner or doing homework in front of the TV.
This can't be that large a demo.

Please god nobody take that the wrong way and turn this into a race argument.

I can remember when I was a kid I would watch episode after episode of SportsCenter. Reruns and all. Now as an adult knowing all of the politics and being aware of the quality of the show...and network for that matter....I wish they had a legitimate competitor so that I would have something to watch.

I like Michael Smith, but you're right, he isn't made to be an anchor. I do like him on their other shows though.

I'm not entirely sure how Jemele Hill has a job. She's awful and arguably the worst on air personality ESPN has ever had.

I'm pretty sure we all did this. I watched SC 3 times per day, at least. I'd play outside all day and every second I was in my house I was watching SC.

My TV stays on the golf channel 80% of the time. The rest is live sports and sometimes the herd or Netflix. Catch part of SVP's SC about once per week.

Espn is trash in general. I was sick at home one day during the week, and this absolutely retarded show called highly questionable came on.

I think it made me more ill

Haven't watched sports center in probbaly 10 years, laughed when I saw this announcement and all the SJW ESPN employees celebrating it. Hill is god awful, they should have put her and Steven smith together and just gotten on with what they're really trying to do.

I DVR PTI and always get the last 45 seconds of around the horn (also now unwatchable due to sjw pandering) and the host was jumping out of his chair excited for "Michael and jamelle on tha 6 tonight!"

For the record, I have no problem with espn switching formats for the 6pm sports center, as many have mentioned there are no fresh highlights at that time.

My gripe is their choice of anchors, specifically jemele hill.

what's more irritating than the way sport center is now, is that I have to watch 4 different 15 second videos, with 30 second adds before each one, to see the highlights of a basketball game from last night on their website.

Have any of you had the chance to watch this version of sportscenter yet?

I liked when sportscenter showed actual highlights of games and not spend more time on what one player said in a postgame press conference about another player. It's a soap opera now

I did too...in 1990 before the internet came and made SC irrelevant for anyone who had access to the internet and had a smartphone.

You know they have when they describe SC6 as sports, movies, music and more....

HAVEN'T YOU SEEN THE COMMERCIALS!?!? They're singing and dancing and laughing and having a great time! Exactly what I want to see when watching a show about sports.

what platform could he move to?

He had the chance to leave and do a Dan patrick type show. They showed him the money so he stayed and took the current gig. Sucks because I used to watch svp and russillo daily, now I don't watch him at all

I did. No different than when Lindsay Czarniak hosted it before her maternity leave. Just a couple more current pop culture references

I'm not a big fan of Jamele and Michael either, but this show isn't some big NAACP convention everyone envisions it

You should watch highly questionable more if that's the case.
