2019 - Rafa and Djok both won two majors
2020 - Rafa and Djok both won one major
2021 - Djok for sure
2022 - Rafa won two majors, Djok won one
2023 - Djok so far

No shot Djok would be 2022 tennis MVP, and 2019/2020 are both disputable.

Usain Bolt is the GOAT of GOATs.

There is no athletic competition more competitive than the men’s 100 meter dash at the Olympics, and he once dominated it so thoroughly that he celebrated the last ten meters.

Don Bradman.

The statistics show that "no other athlete dominates an international sport to the extent that Bradman does cricket". In order to post a similarly dominant career statistic as Bradman, a baseball batter would need a career batting average of .392, while a basketball player would need to score an average of 43.0 points per game over their career. The respective records are .366 and 30.1.

Really solid post. The true epitome of the niche. Very few athletes have so much distance between GOAT and "who?".

No, but hockey goaltending has evolved immensely since Gretzky played.

Have you ever watched some of his highlights? The goalies had smaller pads, weren't nearly as mobile, and stood upright a lot more.

Its the least competitive sport out there.

Entire races of people can't even compete.

Its a sport that excludes 99.9% of the population.

Competitive means, everyones got a shot and the field is the World...not just America Carribea due to genetics.

Race walking, now that's competitive. Rules eliminate DNA advantage, can't go too fast, gotta keep foot on the ground. If you can walk, you can race...most of the world can apply.

So? Usain Bolt can’t be the GOAT because his sport relies too much on natural talent?

They can compete. And where can a teenager from rural Alabama go to build his hockey skills? What chance do people of below average height have to be a GOAT center in the NBA? How many white athletes are playing CB even in major college?

Tons of people lose out on the opportunity to be great in a particular sport due to genetics or a lack of exposure and/or developmental support.
