40% of LBJ's shots at the rim are the reason he's more efficient. He gets himself to the rim. It doesn't matter how you put in the basketball. LBJ shooting high percentage shots is what makes him good. He can get those shots.

Lebron ran to Wade/Bosh to win. Kobe ran to no one.
As a result the best Lebron could hope for is the greatest coattail rider of all time. That will never change unless he decides to leave miami and have a team come to him.

Kobe requested a trade and bitched and moaned until they got Gasol

Haha Kobe went 3/24 in a game 7 of the finals and won. His supporting cast was fine.

Kobe riding on Shaq's back for the first 3 could actually be considered the BIGGEST coattail ride of all time. Kobe also demanded to be traded unless they got him the best supporting cast in basketball.

Which is more efficient than from further away. What is so hard to understand about that?
It just shows how his skills are limited compared to Durant's is all. Durant can score more efficiently everywhere on the court. Lebron has to take it to the rim or hope he's wide open for a 3.

1. Did he leave like a bitch? Nope. Lebron did.
2. The Lakers for first in the West before Bynum went down in 2008 BEFORE Gasol. Kobe was content and no longer talked of trades. Then Bynum went down for the year, and THAT was why Gasol was acquired.

He was a free agent. He never demanded a trade. He accepted his shitty role players and did the best he could do with what he was given.
The only one to demand a trade (multiple times) is Kobe, once he realized he couldn't do shite without Shaq. If anyone is the bitch, it's him.

Biggest coattail of all time? Are you retarded? Kobe was putting up numbers better than Jordan's (96-98) through the western conference playoffs in those days. Kobe carried the Lakers through the west back then.
Link to where Kobe ran to shaq????

So because LBJ is better at getting an easier shot than Durant so Durant is better?

So is Chandler > Durant because he has a higher FG% and only takes easy shots? That's what your logic is dictating. And LeBrong only takes those shots because he knows the refs will bail him out if he fails.

Faulty logic does not apply here. How often is Chandler able to create or take advantage of those easy shots? The answer is not near as often as Lebron.

Lebron is able to take it to the rim. If Durant could do it as well as Lebron, he would do it a lot more often. He can't.

Are you seriously going to be this stupid? Of course a 6'9 260 lber with his own rules is going to take it to the rim more than a 6'9 230 lber.
Are you stupid or trolling? Jesus kid.
Posted on 2/11/13 at 5:53 pm to Tim Taylor
Well I mean if you're 6'9 and have the speed Lebron has of course he will drive the lane. I actually think hes an idiot for shooting outside shots. If he truly wanted to, he could post up every time or drive the lane Everytime. Hes either going to get fouled because of his size or make a layup/dunk. It's almost not fair really. The only thing he has left to work on his making the fadeaway from the low post like Dirk. If he can master that, he's unstoppable. You gotta make Bron shoot outside and hope he has an off night.

LeBron is average at posting up. He has to drive and either beat his man or crawfish for a bogus call. Other than that, he relies on open jumpshots. That's great for him now because of his athleticism, but when he hits his 30s and there are guys still in their primes, he's going to catch hell.
Jordan and Kobe were able to reinvent themselves. LeBron won't be able to.

Yea LBJ won't get any better at shooting of posting up. He hasn't improved at all since his rookie year. Thanks Tim.

I'm trying to figure out how this makes sense
Jordan Playoffs
96 - 30.7 PPG, 1.8 Steals/game, 4.1 assists/game, 4.9 rebounds
97 - 31.1 PPG, 1.6 steals/game, 4.8 assists/game, 7.8 rebounds
98 - 32.4 PPG, 1.5 steals/game, 3.5 assists/game, 5.1 rebounds/game
FWIW - his scoring numbers especially were a lot higher in the earlier parts of his playoff career but over 30 ppg is still pretty awesome.
Kobe Playoffs
99 - 21.1 PPG, 1.5 steals/game, 4.4 assists/game, 4.5 rebounds/game
00 - 29.4 PPG, 1.6 steals/game, 6.1 assists/game, 7.3 rebounds/game
01 - 26.6 PPG, 1.4 steals/game, 4.6 assists/game, 5.8 rebounds/game
And looking at their playoff numbers as a whole the gap looks really wide.
Career Playoff Numbers:
PPG : 33.4 jordan > 25.6 kobe
SPG : 2.1 jordan > 1.4 kobe
APG : 5.7 jordan > 4.7 kobe
RPG : 6.4 jordan > 5.1 kobe
FT% : .828 jordan > .816 kobe
FG% : .487 jordan > .448 kobe

Durant averaged 30 ppg on 54% shooting in the Finals. I wouldn't say Bron did a great job guarding him. If Harden didn't swallow his sack OKC would've won the series.
And I agree, Bron is greater than Kobe at this point.
