I think he just worded it poorly.
As the article states, the info released by insiders is only available to the insider employees, it was information about what players were being used the most, basically everyones lineup is/was visible to these insiders.
I would akin it to entering a March Madness bracket contest, and one of the guys got to view everyone elses bracket before it started. So he could piggy back some plays from the top earners, and make strategic changes to not just tie them, but beat them.
The advantage to being able to see everyone's lineup would be HUGE.

Hog. You're talking about cfb. The pros aren't playing that. Too much variance and not enough stats. Congrats on lucking a couple of wins. Cfb is about 99% luck. These guys are playing nba mlb and NFL.

This was the first week I used my optimal lineup spreadsheet. I cashed in 9/15 mainly because I had freeman in almost everyone. I didn't cash anything above $40 tho.

Interestingly enough the rules supposedly specifically state one person/one team so either they DGAS about actually tracking these accounts, or they aren't trying very hard.
And if they are they weak on that kind of security, you better believe they are weak on other kinds of security, like making sure teams can't be altered after the start.
I also find it interesting they reserve the right to simply move your entry to similar game with no explanation needed.
I also wouldn't trust them to not have ringer/automated entries constantly playing to "test the site" and just happen to win back some of the money.

ur wrong, they are playing CFB, and playing 5-10K head to heads games on CFB. And not just on 1 site, all 3 of them they have 10's of thousands being spent on CFB as well every week.

I don't know what the pros play, nor do I care, I play every sport. CFB has earned me the most success, next to NHL when it starts back up this week.

I disagree, so many players to take that perform every week. If you take Fournette, Boykin, and a top WR like JuJu Smith, you just need to hit 1 or 2 lower end players to win money because those guys go off every single week.

I chat with a bunch of the pros. Not a single one does cfb due to variance due to too many line up possibilities.

Most of them are unlimited entries. You'll often see a top 10 winner with 2 or 3 entries, usually the same.

This is why you do the staggered ones, early, afternoon, and late games. Player pool as same as NFL. The 6K CFB we won was early only. I have had the most success with betting the late only west coast games.

I don't think an analogy to inside trading fits, but - think of it this way: the fellow from the one outfit is not winning the money from the other outfit; he's winning the money paid by all the losers who did not have "inside" or "better" information. It's not so much of a scam against the rival as it is taking advantage of the rival's paying customers.
I'd be willing to bet that the big "winners" shown ad nauseam in television commercials are very closely affiliated with the owners of the company they won from. I think it's all a scam and I suspect that both companies are cashing in as quickly as they can before they get shut down by the government as illegal gambling.

That one is great. He probably paid $200 to start too. Anyway, I don't see why gambling can't be legal in all the U.S. I agree on regulation, of their commercials. I like playing, and realize the odds are stacked, but it's still enjoyable.

I think once new legislator begins they will allow this plus poker and regulate it but charging normal taxes off every withdrawal.

I used to play on fan duel last season and I believe two seasons ago. It's gotten significantly harder to cash, because of all the pros playing now.
