Here's one you might find far fetched.

Watkins, the sf of DePaul, was injured permanently by Mark Aquire falling on him on the last play in the elite 8 vs UCLA. didn't even need the score. won by 4.

Had no chance vs Bird and Ind State.

watkins was best perimeter defender.

Joe Johnson, 05 Suns. hurt his eye socket in the playoffs, missed 4 games. by the time he got back, the Suns were down 2-0 in the West Finals to the Spurs.

Leonard Marshall vs the GOAT

quote:

In the fourth quarter of the 1990 NFC Championship Game, Montana was hit so hard by New York Giants defensive end Leonard Marshall he suffered a bruised sternum, bruised stomach, cracked ribs and a broken hand. Montana missed all of the 1991 season and most of the 1992 season, never starting another game for the 49ers

At the time we was-
4× Super Bowl champion (XVI, XIX, XXIII, XXIV)
3× Super Bowl MVP (XVI, XIX, XXIV)

1996 Eastern Conference Finals. Magic vs Bulls. Game 1 Magic lose Horace Grant, Game 3 they lost Nick Anderson. Still think Chicago would've won series, but not in four like it happened. We missed a potential great series.

MJ vs Hakeem.

How did those Bulls team fair against the Rockets in those few years? With MJ and without?

Plaxico Burress shooting himself killed the Giants chance of repeating as Super Bowl champs. That was also the year Brady tore his acl and was out for the year.

I don't think that it would have mattered in the end, but Rajon Rondo dislocating his elbow against the Heat in the 2011 playoffs was significant. That was pretty gross how he fell on his arm. He came back, but he wasn't the same after that.

Joe Montana 1990 NFC Championship game

Niners would have won 3 straight Super Bowls.

If Joe got to play under Brady rules he's have 6 or 7 rings for sure.

Derek Carr breaks his leg in the last game this past reg. season. If he doesn't, Okland likely gets the #2 seed and at least has a shot at beating NE. Instead, they have to settle for the Wild Card and start their 3rd string rookie QB, on the road, eventually losing to a weak Houston team

It was the 2nd to last game vs Indy. Even if they did somehow get to the AFCC, Brady would have shredded the Raiders secondary. The defense was awful last year, outside of Mack and sometimes Irvin.
