there is some truth with your post
The bottom tier P5 teams have failed the bowl. The committee really needs to focus on those schools you listed.
Maybe a CUSA / Big12 matchup

No it didn't. It's only had 7 ranked teams in its entire history. During bowl season I listed out every team's record that has been in it. Most had 5 losses. When it had teams w/great records it was schools like McNeese and La Tech who were in it.

Throughout it's entire history the Independence Bowl is the exact kind of game this board bitches about w/the misguided idea that only great teams were invited to bowls "back in the day". There have been just 7 ranked teams to play in it and only one game where both teams were ranked. Even for many of it's better games (team record wise) it would be between non traditional power schools that a ton of people here still whine about being played.

This is what happens when you have uber LSU hacks like Missy Setters running things....she's an absolute joke & the board should dissolve itself. They should keep a P5 & bring in a CUSA tie-in, they need regional interest.
