I'm so disappointed Durant isn't playing tonight. #PissedOffRuss needs to get one of these wins

That's what you get when you have an SJW femme as your head coach.

Warriors should handle them pretty easily even without KD.

It might have been shel, or maybe RTR. But someone called the hell out of this during the love fest 2 years ago. Said people will figure out that it's a pretty annoying organization and folks will turn on them.
I said it a whole lot early in the season after the title with they were like 24-0 or something, this board loved them some GS.
Granted, it's not like I said anything crazy, it is kind of a wash/rinse/repeat thing for any team that rises up like that. Everyone loves them at first and soaks up all of that attention, then all of a sudden it's too much attention and too much GS being shoved you on, so people turn on them.
The MSB as a whole has done a complete 180 on GS in just 2 short years.
But i'm mainly taking credit just because I like being right.

I was a casual GS fan and really admired them going full out 3pt crazy. But frick them all - I hate outspoken leftists using sports as a platform

Very different situation, but I was at the rockets lakers game the other night and the pa did it for Corey brewer.
When a player gets traded, you usually see the fans show appreciation to them when they come back.
When a player leaves, unless a unique situation, the fans tend to "boo" that player.
I can see OKC doing something down the line for Durant

Hawks booed Horford and cheered Korver and Teague. The organization did do a tribute video for Horford though.

Unless of course you are CC who cheered for d12 when he made his return. Was pretty surprising to see the pels fans boo ryno when he came and to Nola.

OKC cheers for every former Thunder player with the exception of KD and Reggie Jackson.
For the love of God, try to keep a thread on topic for once by the way. We understand the Rockets are the best at everything in the history of sports with the best fans.

I was surprised by that as well. They did not boo him nearly as much as Eric Gordon.
I think the Rockets fans were cheering for D12 because D12 left and the Rockets are now much better.

This is what I replied to::: Intentionally didn't reply to you bc didn't wanna bring out the whiny cupcake in you on a Monday AM. Looks like it happened anyway.

I'm a casual NBA fan, won't watch until the playoffs, but I like to think a relative situation was when Josh Hamilton left Texas to go the LAA.
I was at the first game that the Angels played with him in the lineup in Arlington and holy frick we and the entire sold out stadium boo'ed the shite out of him.
It's one thing if you're traded, but if you willingly leave to go to a conference/division rival then you deserve anything and everything bad that the sport's gods cast down upon you, including boo-fests.
And guess what, when he came back to Texas a couple of years ago I cheered for his arse.
The Warriors are stupid as frick to expect anything less.

If Harden left Houston abruptly, I'd be willing to bet a lot of money that Houston fans wouldn't cheer for him when he came back to play in Houston.

I think that people like you are getting trolled by GSW.

Didn't Presti or Bennett come out and thank him right before the game to the press? I swear I read something
ETA it was before the first game but still

quote:
"We are very appreciative of Kevin's contributions during the first eight years of the Thunder," Thunder general manager Sam Presti told ESPN's Royce Young leading up to the Warriors' first game in Oklahoma City earlier this season. "As we have said, they're a big reason for the foundation that we stand on today. He, in partnership with many teammates, invested a great deal in helping to build a culture and identity for a franchise in its infancy stages, one whose accomplishments and identity we should all take great pride in representing.
