In today's Cupcake News, the Warriors are "furious" with how Thunder handled KD's return

The Golden State Warriors organization was furious and bewildered about the inactivity from Oklahoma City Thunder leadership leading up to that first Durant return contest on Feb. 11, league sources told ESPN.
quote:
Sources say the Warriors were of the mindset that someone from ownership or management should have addressed the media on Durant's behalf to help ease the tension upon his return.
The feeling is that Durant should have been acknowledged or thanked, in a news conference setting, for his nine years of excellent service.

This organization is unreal. First they go after Shaq and TNT for hurting JaVale McGee's feelings.
Now it comes out they were upset with Thunder higher-ups for not hosting an out of nowhere press conference prior to KD's return to do nothing but thank him?
My God they are soft. What's hilarious is they really did expect this. Cupcakes.

You seem even more offended somehow about how offended They were

I could see maybe in a game giving a shout out to him in a few years when the wound isn't fresh.
He plays for a team everyone in your town hates, even if he didn't go there the warriors would still be on the top Thunder fans shitlist. Anything they do right now would make the base so salty

I honestly am. Can't remember another pro sports franchise being so damn sensitive.
Maybe it is due to living in SJW Land of Many Triggers.

the warriors are easily the biggest bunch of pussies to ever comprise a single team in the history of sports.

Did Cleveland do this for Lebron? Orlando for Shaq?
Of course not. Nor should they have. This is beyond stupid.

So, he doesn't win anything there, bolts for another team, and they are supposed to honor him? Why?

I've gone from really liking the Warriors to disliking them in 2 very short years
Still a fan of Steve Kerr and like Curry, but on the whole, frick 'em.

Very different situation, but I was at the rockets lakers game the other night and the pa did it for Corey brewer.
All I am saying is that in like 6 years, I could see the thunder doing something. Durant was key to what is potentially the most successful the franchise will be for some time. He played 9 great years there. It hurts now but he was still key to planting the flag in OKC

Cleveland was way worse with Lebron. I thought OKC handled Durant fine compared to Lebron. Even Dan Gilbert was saying shite to Lebron with the media. OKC looks like saints compared to how Cleveland handled it.

Durant also didn't make a show of it

It might have been shel, or maybe RTR. But someone called the hell out of this during the love fest 2 years ago. Said people will figure out that it's a pretty annoying organization and folks will turn on them.

Probably wasn't me but I was early to hatefest. Mainly because of the rockets WCS. A Big Playoff series will bring out all of the annoying qualities of your opponent.
I still get irrational upset at steph chewing his mouth piece
