a while.... devoid of talent to trade for draft picks, so he wouldn't be able to build the team with the same sort of success he does in NE... he may make them a lot better, but for them to start making noise in that division, it would take a while

Not this season for sure. But I'd give him a 50/50 shot for next season. He could flip at least 1/4 of the roster this summer, install his system, find solid vet fits, trade away all the guys that don't fit or are too expensive. Wouldn't take him long at all..

see, the thing about trading is that you have to have someone willing to take what you are offering... and well, the Browns just don't have much to offer....

find solid vet fits

and recruit them to fricking Cleveland, Ohio, vs. Miami, New York, Chicago, Houston, Seattle, etc...

I'm probably in the minority here, but I think the Browns have a ton of talent. No way that team should be 0-8. It all comes down to coaching and finding out what your players are good at and sticking to that formula. Belichick could easily lead that team to a .500 season his first year there.

even the Browns would like to know what in the actual frick??

they have 2 pieces that are worth anything to anyone else.... and both should be considered untouchable, if you are the Browns.... Corey Coleman and Joe Haden... outside of those 2, there's not much here in terms of tradable assets that will net you anything of worth to try and turn the franchise around....

Belichick would need to acquire early round draft picks to trade down and acquire more picks, in an effort to rebuild his roster.... that's his MO...

I honestly think the Browns have no hope. There's a lot of mojo floating around Cleveland with the Cavs and now potentially the Indians. Not to say the Browns have to be Super Bowl contenders, but you know........win a game.

Haden is the most overrated corner in the NFL. Their most tradable asset by a mile is Joe Thomas and they should always listen to offers for him

It would be hard to make a more uneducated statement than this

Haden is a shell of the player he used to be. In my opinion the only pieces worth building around would be:

Joe Thomas (even at 32)
Pryor
Corey Coleman
Ogbah
Carl Nassib
Joel Bitonio

Browns would be in playoffs no later than his 3rd full year but possibly 2nd year. There's enough quality talent on Browns. Belichick gets his players to focus and be professional.

He's coached there before, so...

ETA he was 36-44 there from 1991-1995.
