Just saw an thread on another board and it was mentioned that Tug of War was considered as 2020 Olympic Sport (didn't make the cut). That being said, I think Olympic Tug of War would be amazing TV. Am I crazy thinking this? I just envision myself yelling at the TV screen watching a bunch of monsterous US dudes try to beat a bunch of monsterous Russians or whoever.

I could see the US team consisting of retired NFL OL/DL bc even though they may have lost speed and quickness they still have their strength. I just see Vince Wilfork as th anchor.

I'm mean I can just watching Tug of War in a room full of a bunch of people with everyone just going nuts for 5 mins watching the action. It would be GLORIOUS!

Apparently there are world championships with weight classes. All over youtube. USA would get there asses kicked for a while. There are proper techniques and shite. No one here cares enough, while other countries have 100s of trained tug o war genetic engineered freaks stacked up on pipe lines starting at age 2.

Everybody thinks anchor is the most important position, but the first man in line is really the key.

I've seen it happen first hand.

"Team building exercise" at football boot camp in high school. Two guys arms popped

Tug-of-war tryouts should weed out the pussies.
