Then why do so damn many of them make the trek to New Orleans? Did that many travel to see them play Tulane, or Tech or McNeese or Nicholls? Hell no! They act like it's just "another game" but they get so lathered up to play LSU.

How many LSU fans traveled to the game? Would they have traveled to New Orleans to watch LSU play UNO?

UL Lafayette did have quite a bit of fans go see them when they played at Tulane.

I'll bite despite knowing the stupidity of the thread:

- I know about 50 people that went to the game last night and they live in the NOLA area.

- I know 2 people that went to the game from BR and they're family friends of the Pontiff's.

Also, unrelated, but I had an LSU "fan" ask me if Lange was on the mound

i'd say about 90% of the LSU fans there live in either Metairie, Kenner, or Destrehan...

You're trying to attack a fan base for traveling and supporting their team? What the hell?

College baseball should be "just another game" for everyone.

Do you start flame threads when LSU plays another in state school? Or just when they play ULL?

And obviously it's not "just another game" to you.

Make the trek to New Orleans? I hope you realize there a ton of ULL fans/alumni that live in New Orleans too. You can say the same thing about LSU fans. This thread is stupid.

You do know that we are a few spots behind LSU in average attendance, right? That means we have a good following in baseball. We brought a contingent to McNeese and Tulane as well. Maybe if you would get out of your LSU bubble, you would understand that.

I doubt anyone (Cajuns or any other team for that matter) feels that way, since LSU has an excellent baseball program. A non conference game is not, however, as important as any conference game for any team during the regular season

Possibly Tulane, doubtful the others, although Cajuns baseball and softball fans do travel well.

I expect they do. If you've ever been to a Cajuns game, you'll find they get pretty lathered up for many, if not most, opponents in baseball. Softball arguably produces even more rabid fans. It's the two sports the Cajuns are generally competitive in.

You seem pretty lathered up AFTER LSU beats UL though.

Ehh more like 10. You do well for your size, but lets not act like you are even in the same ballpark as LSU. From 10 to 20-25 there really isnt that much of a difference.

1. LSU 10,726 364,700 34
2. Ole Miss 8,066 225,873 28
3. Arkansas 7,928 237,865 30
4. Mississippi State 7,448 230,918 31
5. South Carolina 7,314 219,436 30
6. Texas 5,517 126,911 23
7. Texas A&M 4,742 170,745 36
8. Florida State 4,346 134,746 31
9. Clemson 4,250 119,023 28
10. Nebraska 3,956 102,872 26
11. Louisiana-Lafayette 3,908 101,626 26
