Of all QBs ever, you would take Drew Brees?

If anyone says Tom Brady, you are incorrect.

QBs don't win Super Bowls.

Also...to the people who say Montana had Rice, this is only true of the 1988 and 1989 Super Bowl seasons. Montana won Super Bowls without Rice in 1981 and 1984.

Also...Jerry Rice only ever had blue chip QBs throwing to him: Montana, Young, and Gannon - 3 of the best QBs to play in the NFL in the last generation, with one of them arguably being the greatest of all-time.

So the door swings both ways when people say Montana had Rice. Rice also had Montana.

Johnny Unitas was more clutch, and had better stats, in an era when they threw the ball a lot less. Also, he didnt play with anyone near the caliber of Jerry Rice and Roger Craig.

Unitas had talent around him. The 58 team had 4 Hall of Famers on offense including him

I didn't watch Montana play. I can only base my opinion on what I've seen. And Manning is the best I've ever seen.

Marino is the best thrower of the football I've ever seen.

Lots of other intangibles that we'll never really know could be used to determine who is the best "quarterback" but my eyes tell me that Marino throws the best football.

guy with the most playoff losses and int's of all time. Yeah, he's clutch.

Do you know what you have to do to have the most playoff losses of all time? You have to make a shite load of playoff appearances.

Not to mention he has the most MVP's, broke the season passing records last year. He's got a Super Bowl win and MVP. He's been to 3 of them, split up between 2 teams.

Dude hasn't thrown 20 int in a season since 2002. Who else is doing that?

And twice as many turnovers as touchdowns in his SB appearances.

This obviously 100% subjective. There is no right answer.

I am a huge Peyton Manning fan because of his process, work ethic, and football acumen. People discount the coach in these discussions as well as the defense. Montana had one of if not the greatest offensive minded coaches in NFL history who invented the offensive used most often today in an era without free agency and had the benefit of a top 5 defense every year.

Brady has one of the greatest coaches of all time who took Cleveland to the playoffs and even won a playoff game. Brady threw 145 yards in his first super bowl victory. Brady was to those first three super bowls what Russell Wilson was last year. A highly capable game manager. Belichick and the defense deserve most of the credit. Brady did not become truly elite until around 2007. He is an incredible QB, but Belichick learned the hard way that you win championships with defense, not offense.

Manning took a lot of average teams to the playoffs every year. The team went from 10-6 to 2-14 when he was hurt. He led a team with a terrible head coach and a subpar defense to the super bowl in 2009. I don't think anyone can doubt he has more knowledge of the game than any QB in history, and that is why he is my favorite QB.

Impossible to say who the true best is.

You know that's a bit of a stretch. In part, yes. But they fricking sucked. It's kind of hard to say when exactly they started being so bad, but damn were they terrible.

Maybe it is a stretch, but they've gone 11-5 and 11-5 since then.
