Had Jimmy stayed with the saints he would probably been in the hall of fame. Now, he's just a slightly above average tight end and a glorified tackle

Brees made Graham.

There is no question about that now.

It's such a messed up situation. He had it made and then ended up in a terrible offense for him.

The combination of him wanting to be paid and then the Saints having such a shitty cap situation and not affording to keep him.

That's half the story. He was also a diva who always taking himself out of ball games and missing games with minor injuries. In spite of his epic playoff game vs the 49ers, he also had a tendency to disappear in big games (think zero catches vs New England). Then there was the fumble at the goal line vs Atlanta in 2014 that effectively ended their season because he couldn't fight through a DB to get into the end zone.

I was a big Graham fan but there were issues.

I think it was a matter of time before the Saints got rid of him.

I think he has been shown to be a quitter and not give much effort.

Good for him.

The Saints had to eject from one awful contract and they had two choices. They chose to dump Graham over Junior Galette--a guy who was maybe the biggest cancer in team history and was so toxic that they STILL dumped him three months later and ate his contract.

That's how much they wanted to get rid of Graham.

The Saints got a good center out of it

Too bad their o-line is garbage

This is one of the few big trades that seems to work out for the worse for both teams. Neither team improved because of this.
