Nobody cares, snowflake.

A big deterrent I think for parents is the injuries are through the roof and kids literally die sometimes when someone rips a shot and it nails them in the chest

There's been 19 lacrosse deaths from this in the past 36 years.

jim brown didn't just tuck that ball against his chest with his stick and run like a train to the goal and score with ease.

He literally did do that, they changed the rules because of him.

what type of change was made? you can't run to the goal with the net tucked to your chest?

Pretty much yeah. Can't just keep it pressed against your chest the entire time

I played lacrosse my junior & senior year of high school. There are 146 high schools in Texas with a boys lacrosse team.

I currently live in Georgia where there are 124 high schools with a boys lacrosse team.

Comparitively, Massachusetts has 284 high school teams. I'd say these two states aren't too far behind considering how new lax is in the south.

You can search by state via MaxPrep.

Played in high school, went to a public high school in Knoxville. Freshman year we were kids from all of Knox County and got destroyed by all the private schools. By senior year, we were just my school and competed against everyone and won a bunch of games.

Game is really fast paced and a ton of fun. I played a bit of hockey in Alaska and they didn't have it as accessible when my family moved to Tennessee. Was glad to find something as rough and fast as Lax.

I played middie and loved faceoffs. Nothing like a 1 on 1 battle for the ball. I got really good at it.

Dutchtown has a team. I know a kid that goes to Episcopal and plays for Dutchtown.

LSU had a pretty Christmas competitive intramural team in the early 80's. Had a good drunk rugby team too.

It's huge in North atlanta and Florida for public schools. Both men and women's. Lots of fun to watch and coach. The girls side is hard as hell to learn how to throw.

You went to a high school lacrosse game and you don't have a kid in high school?

Did you blow your colleague?

The sports complex near my house had a big tournament here. Made me jealous I think I would have liked to play it. Soccer and lacrosse are pretty big here. Neither existed where I grew up.
