I've listened to Walton before... He just seems to be much worse now. It used to be part of the game, now the game is part of his act.

I'll admit that I liked Walton better 20 years ago when he was doing nba national telecasts with Steve snapper jones or local clippers games with Ralph lawler (the goat all time pairing). He was still zany back then, but hadn't completely gone off the deep end.
However, he's still entertaining, definitely not terrible, and makes a good combo with Pasch.

Walton used to have a terrible stutter and was terrified to speak in social settings much less on television. I think that since he conquered that problem he just loves to hear himself speak fluently. I have a pretty significant stutter so I don't blame him for never shutting up
