Do you really think the committee would've had the balls to drop a team that had been solidly classified as "No. 2" out of the playoffs completely for no other reason than they didn't play?

I just don't see that happening, the committee has been "eye-ball testing" the shite out of the Tide for awhile now.

I don't think they'd have them "solidly classified" as #2 in this hypothetical. I don't care what they say, there is at least a little maneuvering for future results in the rankings.

If Ole miss were playing for the SECCG, Bama would not be ranked #2 right now.
