Broke his back. I heard he is talking and in good spirits after an all night surgery.

Is he paralyzed? Prayers to him.

Last we heard was he was moving his arms but nothing below the chest. Had long surgery overnight Friday, C5 replaced and they are waiting on swelling to go down, hoping he regains feeling in his lower body

Hope he continues to improve. I now that scene friday night brought back some painful memories for folks that have been around Shaw football since they had their incident in a jv game years ago.

I read that he has regained some feeling in his legs and feet. Still not moving but definitely seems like a positive sign.

HerbTyler is correct.
I hate this, BUT : Folks I know also know his father. We all went to the same, now-closed New Orleans high school and have an active alumni association. What Herb reports was told to us yesterday. Michael Doherty has sensation in his legs !!!!
God be praised and thanked.
