So are you saying the SEC Champ should have been left out?

The problem is TCU's resume isn't good coming in. They could be the BEST team

Slaughters your resume IMO.

Did TCU lose to a 6-6 team AT HOME?

9 minutes in and they've scored 14.

Alabama scored 17 vs. Ole Miss in 60.

The Ole Miss game was nearly 3 whole months ago. Ole Miss was undefeated coming into the Alabama game and hadn't been hit hard with injuries or crushed dreams. The team suffered a 3 game SEC skid that began with the LSU loss, the end of their dream against Auburn, and the ultimate humiliation against Arkansas.

Alabama no longer has a ball controlling offense

Sure they do.... But they may score sooner then they want because of the ease they would shred the TCU D.

This is the correct answer. Same damn reason bama was chosen over Okie State for the national championship game a few years back. If Texas or Oklahoma would have been in Oklahoma States place that year, bama probably wouldn't have gone to the championship over those two schools. It's all about being a media darling.

Texas may have gotten left out as well with the exact same resume (the scenario this year is so crazy, it's hard to say), but you can't deny that there would be at least 10 times the media furor over it if that happened.

Yep and TCU had no injuries during the season and was not missing our leading rusher to injury who gashed LSU for big yards only a year ago.

The frogs have 10 offensive starters returning next yr, including the QB. And regardless of stats proving otherwise perhaps, their defense was actually rated to be their strong point most of the season.
