Right now, I have LSU in the TaxSlayer Bowl vs Clemson, La Tech in the Hawai'i Bowl vs Colorado State, and Lafayette in the GoDaddy Bowl vs Toledo.
LSU gets bumped up because of the number of SEC teams projected in the playoffs and major bowls. Lafayette gets a bump because Georgia Southern is not eligible for a bowl in their first year in FBS, unless there isnt enough qualified teams.

LSU's no lock for 6 wins the way they played on Saturday.
Gold Sheet Power ratings:
Tech 16
ULL and tulane 21
ULM 23
Tulane's schedule harder than the other 3, and they already lost to the 2nd weakest team on the schedule (maybe the weakest). Very unlikely.
Tech should get 6 or 7.
ULM could get 6, but at a minimum they'll have to beat ULL to get it.
ULL's going to have a hard time getting to 6 as well, and will have to beat ULM at a minimum to get there. But I'm considering games like @ Tex State and home against S Alabama competitive affair in which they are no cinch to win.
The ULL-ULM game will eliminate one of them for sure I think.

Not true. They've been better the last couple years than the years before. Have won some big games here and there. I would certainly like to see them in the playoff as an at large and win the MNC, but will take the slight up tick they've had in recent years. If they can just beat Ladasha later in the year I'll be content.

Bottom line, everyone not LSU in the state of LA is pretty much lumped together to most of the outside world. The WarIndians should get the most football cred for recent big name wins, although ULL is probably the clear #2 team in the state just given their bowl runs lately. Tech can fight McNeese for the 4 spot.

What happened to ULM? I watched them vs WF and LSU and they looked good.
LSU in the Gator Bowl or the Liberty Bowl
LaTech would get to pick its bowl if it wins CUSA which I think they have a good shot of. I would think they pick Heart of Dallas Bowl just because the fans will probably travel to Dallas.
ULM I think gets to 6 by beating ULL and gets one of the last bowl slots.

I'm a big Cajun fan, but I sure as hell wouldn't make that claim right now. I'd say we're fighting ULM for #4, behind LSU, McNeese and Tech, until Hud and the team proves otherwise.
