Brett started every game he suited up for, for the Packers, Vikings, and Jets, from 1992 to 2010. Thats ridiculous. Including the playoffs, Brett started 321 straight games. Second and third on the all time list are Peyton and Eli Manning with 227 and 181 respectively. Rivers is currently fourth, starting 156 games in a row. Rivers and Eli both have active streaks. Eli since Nov. 2004 and Philip since Sept 2006.

I find these streaks to be some of the more impressive in sports. Seeing as how important the Qb position is to a football team. Having your guy be so reliably healthy is huge. How does Brett's streak match up to Cal's? Comparable?

There is no record of a Brett Farve ever playing in the NFL.

To put it into perspective, Eli (current longest streak) would have to keep going until 2023 to catch Brett.

Not at all. If a player doesn't get too hurt to play then they are just lucky. The Ripken streak is really ridiculous. He play a no contact sport.

Some injuries Favre played through.. stress fractures in feet, torn bicep, shoulder separations, sprained ankles, fractured ribs, sprained and broken fingers, sprained LCL…could go on and on.. Dude wasn't that lucky. Just a warrior.

Last pass he ever threw for the Packers, Jets, and Vikings were all interceptions.

Actually, though, I think he played a few more games for the Vikings, but whatever. Screw the vikings.

The first pass he completed in his career was to himself.

It could never make up for his other SHORT falls.

It's an amazing stat, especially when you consider the way he played. First of all he played when the NFL was still brutal and defenders were allowed to lay out QB's. Favre also wasn't afraid to go downfield and block a LB or DB.

They don't make QBs like him anymore.
