I think the question is what would UT do if Chip Kelly becomes available

They should go after Sean Payton

Well, Payton has recent experience with a QB who can't throw a spiral more than 15 yards down the field...so there's that.

Meh. I think they took their best shot at him after Mack and it was closer than you gumps want to believe. He chose to stay and is likely at Bama till he calls it a career.

but the LSU fans insisted Saban would move on after a few yrs with the program..you know because of his past leaving LSU and Miami like he did.

Agree with you, he ain't going nowhere

I don't think he is going anywhere until he retires.

That said, I would love it just to see the meltdown from college station.

he looks bored because he is getting older...I don't think he goes to UT at this point. He will be 64 later this month. I think the ship has sailed.

I agree here...Like I have said The only other place he would go to coach is up north like A Penn State... Or just retire...

Saban would be a disaster at Texas.

He has been having a hissy fit about A&M, Ole Miss, and Auburn playing some spread w/HUNH.

The dude would have a brain aneurysm trying to go up against the offenses in the Big 12 every week.

I don't think Texas would want to be spurned by the same coach twice.

Chip Kelly is a better example of someone they would target.

They would offer him oil wells.
My prediction: Chip Kelly will be coaching UT in 2017. The only question is if that will be his first season with the Longhorns or his second.

I agree about the looking bored part. I just don't know if he wants one more rebuild to go out on. I see him retiring within 2 yrs from Bama

If Brian Kelly takes a NFL job, maybe he'd take the ND job if pursued.

ND wouldn't go after Saban. He doesn't fit the culture here. Plenty good enough, but just isn't the right fit.
