How far can Chip Kelly set back your team

Let's apply this hypothetical to both College (just imagine him busting) and NFL (Philadelphia). Obviously, defense is defense and he doesn't meddle around with that.
However, his unique offensive philosophy requires a certain kind of players. In particular, at quarterback and the most crucial...the offensive line.
Is it easier to rebound in the NFL? What if these players have little trade value? You're really then baking on making some quality draft picks to fill these guys spots that aren't able to conform to your new offensive style.
I think, again, if he failed in college that it would take more work and time to fill a roster that's able to adapt to a different offensive philosophy. Maybe 3 to 4 years just to get a new system fully implemented and on it's feet? That's just scratching the surface too.

Kaepernick and Hyde will do very well in his system.

Kaep is big enough to be a consistent runner in his system.
If he gets some talent back on the teams think Chip could well there.

The dude was 46-7 and was ranked in the top 4 each of his last 3 years at Oregon. Stop.

Wut? Failed in college? I guess being a perennial NC candidate is a failure.

Depends on how many black players are on the team when he arrives.

It seems like the only way Chip set Oregon back is that the new coach wasn't as good as him.
The idea that he didn't care about defense is such a lazy narrative too. When you run as many plays and score as quick and often as they did, you are going to give up points and yards, but on a per play basis they had a pretty damn good D for Oregon.

He'll end up back in college ball somewhere where he can obsess and run his fiefdom in relative peace.
Places like USC, Notre Dame and Texas aren't even a good fit due to the politics.. He's a football savant.

Honestly I am so sick of the 49ers organization

He was the one I was hoping we'd make a push for next year. Now, I'm looking at Herman.

I hate the niners but if those douche bags can put their egos aside and let chip coach and if chip can put his weird personality aside and let Baalke shop for the groceries, it could work well. Those are big IFs, but people learn and evolve so let's see what happens.

Texas fan? You'd kill for Chip Kelly and you know it.

Oregon's offensive line class averaged 6'6" 297 pounds this last fall. They could play in any system.

Chip likes zone run blockers and qbs that can ran - not athletes that can throw. His prototype at OL is Jake Fisher with the Bengals and his qb protype is Mariota. The only way the transition would be difficult is if he had a bunch of recruiting misses.
Most of Stanford's current OL was offered by Chip. Don't be stupid.

Charlie will get it done soon.
