How does ULM look this year?

There are a few people that like them in betting thread against Wake. I know they have a new QB.

I'd bet on Wake. They have a really underrated true freshman QB. The kid broke most.. if not all of Tebows records in the state of Florida. His names John Wolford. The kids legit, I watched him play.

Not sure if he's playing but I know one of their new Db's. Kid is a good athlete

Wolford hasn't looked great since winning the job, but he is probably their best choice. He was 8/16 with 82 yards passsing and a few INTs in their last scrimmage. He has 0 weapons around him (WF lost their top RB and WR) and a TE that is out for some time due to a spinal injury (not severe). Not to mention a true freshman starting at C and another possibly starting on a inexperienced (less than 50 combined starts as a unit) O-Line.

you cant use last year's team as a comparison to this year, buuuuuut they shouldve curb stomped wake on the road last year. It was probably the worst that they played all year.
Too much unknown with the team this year. Every year people say "the defense will be better this year" and it always sucks. Hoping for the best tho.

Didn't realize this is a home game for ULM. Looks like they are having "camo-out" night with Willy Robertson doing the coin flip.

I think ULM will be decent for the Sun Belt. They return most of the team except for KB, which is a biggie. I think something like 10 of the 11 starters on D are seniors. New QB from JUCO I believe so who knows but him beating out the two who have been here means he has to be decent. I watched the ULM/Wake game last year and Wake was awful and ULM did what they wanted on offense. If the new QB is average or above and they don't lose the turnover battle I think ULM will win at home.

9/11 returners on Defense and pretty sure Pete Thomas (transfer QB) is from NC State. He started at Colorado State, transferred to NC State, and is now at ULM.

Berry was talking him up saying he's "very very very" intelligent. I guess we'll have to see if he's any good.

Supposedly the kid is very athletic and has a rocket arm, he has some experienced RBs and receivers so it should be interesting

New transfer QB is supposed to be ok and return a lot of folk. I don't think they'll get into the playoff but I'm sure they'll compete for the Sunbelt and beat ULL's arse again.
