How does Florida get the Gumdrop Road to the Final Four EVERY FREAKING YEAR?

This year's path: 13, 5, 8, 7

2006 Path: 14, 11, 7, 1

2007 Path: 16, 9, 5, 3

2011 Path: 15, 7, 3, 8 (lost)

2012 Path: 10, 15, 7, 4 (lost)

2013 Path (the most absurd path ever): 14, 11, 15, 4 (lost)

That's 24 tournament games in that stretch.

They've played a 1 or 2 seed once

They've played a 3 seed twice

They've played a 4 seed twice

5 of the 24 tournament games were against a top 4 seed. That's less than once a year.

They've played a double-digit seed NINE TIMES, including 3 times in one year.

If you add the seed numbers together in their 2013 run, you come up with, you get 44. That means they AVERAGED an 11 seed as an opponent in that tournament.

A 15 seed has beaten a 2 seed 8 times. Florida got to play 2 of them in the second round or beyond, IN BACK TO BACK YEARS.

In the 20 games after round 1 during that stretch, they've played the team they were supposed to play 4 times.

Absurd. Every time they make a run, everybody is upset right before they play them.

How can this be? The 10 and 7 play each other to open the tournament. One of your numbers has to be wrong.

Xavier is another team that has benefitted (but not this year)

They have had their share of 14 and 15 seeds to play

Not a cake walk for a 1. 16, 8, 4, 2 would be the toughest road.

This is impossible. A 7 plays a 10 in the first round. You can't have 2 7 seeds in the same bracket.

You're gonna be really pissed off if they win and get an 11 seed in the final four

Well...they've already played an 11 seed in the Final Four during that stretch, so why not?

There was a typo, it was 10, 15, 3, 4.

They were the 7

Good breakdown

I was thinking tonight, for as many deep tourney runs as they've had, there's hardly any memorable games (tonight being the exception).

Gonzaga was lucky to beat UF this year.

Edit: OP should check his numbers because they are off.

And UF can't control who they play.

They had an easy run in 94 as well - 14, 11, 9, 2 (w/ injuries)

Make hay while the sun is shining I guess.

You realize they were highly seeded in some of those years right?
