They don't have to go undefeated.

1-loss Alabama. 1-loss Clemson. 1-loss Ohio State or Michigan. 1-loss Stanford.

All four of those teams get in over Houston.

ETA: Or sprinkle in 1 or 2 undefeated teams out of that bunch, if you want.

There are numerous other factors that can play into the playoff decision (e.g. margin of victory). If Houston blows wins by 2-3 scores the rest of schedule, including a strong victory against Louisville, they would still be highly likely to get in.

So you're on here giving me shite for making a definitive statement (on a message board, btw), when your first post in this thread was the exact same thing.

To say they're "easily in" if they go undefeated is equally as "retarded" as my statement. They need help. Almost every 1-loss major conference champion would go over them. Some 2-loss conference champions would have a shot to go over them as well.

If Houston goes undefeated, they are not a shoe-in. The SEC has produced a 1-loss champion (or better) for 8 straight seasons. Even a 2-loss SEC champion has a shot to get in over Houston. I think it's more likely than not that the Big Ten champion has 1 loss or less. They not only need Louisville to win a lot of games, but they have to have them go on to win the ACC.

Things would have to go their way, and then the committee would still have to reward a team who played a mediocre strength of schedule from a group of five conference.

So sure, if y'all want to get on me for making an end-all-be-all statement, go ahead. But it's not like you didn't do the exact same thing.

Houston has a good team, and UConn is also not very good.

Didn't it snow in Connecticut when Houston lost to them last year or something?

You're giving him shite for saying they're "easily in", and you said "They won't make the playoff no matter what."

Hello pot, meet kettle.

No wonder why I stopped coming to this website.

I'm not the one piling on to him with a bunch of other posters, hoping people ignore my post where I did the exact same thing.

I said this because

which they're highly probable to get based off history. I seriously can't remember the last time more than 2 of the power 5 had undefeated champions. Sure it's possible a one loss conference champion gets in over them, but the way Houston has been trending up with Herman, I think they'd get the nod.

Some 2-loss conference champions would have a shot to go over them as well.

This is absolutely bullshite. Zero two loss conference champions would get in over an undefeated Houston.

I disagree. I think a 2-loss SEC champion (from the West) could get in over Houston. Would depend on their wins and losses.

With your own idiotic, definitive statement.

If Houston goes undefeated, they are not automatically in. So there.

Oklahoma seems like they are in for a couple more losses.

Interested to see how Louisville looks this weekend. That game is such a wildcard. Clemson hasn't played any offense with a pulse, and now they're going up against the most explosive offense in the nation (so far). Hard to know what to expect.

Based on the college football predictions I've noticed from you over the years, I'm highly confident an Houston would make the playoff. Does that work for you?

Look man the cougars are a feel good story, but we beat a florida state team without their starting QB in a bowl game they probably didnt give 2 shites about and clearly didnt show up. Then we bashed an oklahoma team that is so overrated and may legit lose 3-4 games, thats not a college playoff team. Houston is good but these greg ward runs are just insane, he would never pull that shite vs lsu. Remember how johnny football was the same way with everyone and then lsu would lock him down. Greg Ward is good but hes not that good. Louisville will kill this team.
