no matter what?

its straightforward.
IF Louisville beats Clem on Saturday, and stays undefeated
and Houston and undefeated Louisville meet and Houston wins and goes undefeated
then Houston will be in

Not ridiculous, if they go undefeated they'll probably get in. The Pac 12 and Big 12 are bad this year so there's an opening.

They wax oklahoma and go on to wax Louisville on 11/17 and they will 100% be in the playoff. And will beat anyone in the country besides alabama.

Lol. If Houston wins out, the only way they aren't in is if five teams finish undefeated.

Nah man. No matter the situation, Houston clearly won't get in. Even if they are the only undefeated team left in the nation. Even if Oklahoma and Louisville end up winning their conferences. No way possible.

I would say at this point the only way they have even a shot is if Lousiville wins the ACC with 1 loss or less. OU isn't looking like it's going to be the big win it was supposed to be preseason, and the rest of that schedule is dog shite.

Or, you know, 1-loss Big Ten champ, 1-loss Pac 12 champ, any SEC champ, 1-loss ACC champ.

Oklahoma could lose like 4-5 games. How impressive will that win look in a few months?

You must be trolling. If Houston goes undefeated, including wins over Louisville and Oklahoma, they are going to the goddamn playoff.

Or they could get hot like last season and win the Big 12, while Louisville wins the ACC with it's only loss being to Houston.

That being said, I don't think they go undefeated.

Fantastic rebuttal. It's exactly what I expect from someone who shows their arse around here as much as you do.

Obviously including those wins, as they would be their only 2 good wins of the entire season, basically.

No, both are the same.

You have absolutely no idea how this will play out. If they are the only loss on UL's schedule and one of two on OU's they are getting in. And that is very possible. You are trying to predict how the committee will vote off of two years of playoffs and zero precedent on a team similar to UH being in the mix

You seem to be having fun with your scenarios, while your first post in this thread was...

Probably not. But anyone claiming there's no way they get in is borderline mentally challenged.

Well then enlighten me. How often do the 3 of the power 5 conference champions go undefeated? Has that ever happened?

That's probably the only scenario that would keep an undefeated Houston out of the playoff.

They don't have to go undefeated.

1-loss Alabama. 1-loss Clemson. 1-loss Ohio State or Michigan. 1-loss Stanford.

All four of those teams get in over Houston.

ETA: Or sprinkle in 1 or 2 undefeated teams out of that bunch, if you want.
