That makes sense. Their best player was Mark Johnson, and he's a smallish guy who could really really skate.*

*He was also a really good player, but I can see how this could have been sacrificed for pure athleticism at some point in the roster.

There were also a ton of fvckups in that game by the Russians. There was a fluke goal with basically no time left I believe at the end of the 1st period. They fvcked that game the hell up and pulled their stud cause their coach was an idiot.

Like someone said, the documentary from the Russian perspective was awesome. Really humanized the players. I loved their original Romantic coach and hated the new stat idiot.

Unreal win by the good guys.
