It's going to be funny to see everyone come in here and defend the un-American practice that is the salary cap.

So most are either from the world's most popular sport (Soccer) or a worldwide individual sport that has a unique pay structure (boxing) but probably has the greatest disparity in income. Why aren't you upset about the income inequality? Or are you OK with it when it benefits your argument?

Aren't a lot of the top tier soccer clubs losing money because of overspending?

Who can worry about the finances of the top tier soccer club when we have marginalized our professional athletes here? Latrell Spreewell just needed enough to feed his kids!!!!

Take out the boxers and race car drivers and the United Sates professional athletes make up 17 of the 20 spots.

What a poorly thought out troll...

That list has to be wrong. I don't see any MMA fighters on the list.

They don't release even 1/4 of what the top guys make, for some fighters they disclose much less than that.

Most top tier clubs are just toys for their billionaire owners and they're independent clubs, not franchises so the leagues don't care. Its just a different mentality. The owners know they're going to lose money and they're fine with it.
