This guy

ETA - Are they both offered in HD and SD? Are they both the same price for HD and SD?

If they are all the same..go with HBO IMO.

Ive always preferred HBO's production over Showtime's when it comes to boxing. If everything else is equal, I'd go HBO too.

HBO has Jim Lampley who I think is the best voice in boxing, so I would go with them.

I'm going with the one that the guy who's paying for the fight chooses.

Agreed. But I think you get the combo of Lampley & Bernstein regardless of who you order it from since it's a joint effort for putting on the PPV. If that's the case, I'd go with HBO for the better production value and fighter intro pieces, imo. If that is not the case and you get different commentator teams, I'd still go with HBO for Lampley as you mentioned. So HBO regardless for me.

I think it's a joint venture/production.

Oh wow. That's pretty awesome. I wonder if Lamps will serve as the host too or if Showtime will have Brian Kenny doing that. I'm a big Brian Kenny fan as well.

Yes, as far as combining the commentators.

But I think each channel will still use their own graphics/overlays, 5-10 minute fighter intro pieces, etc... So the only question is, taking commentators out of the question, which channel's presentation do you like more when watching fights?

Lamps is the best in the business. I also love to hear Roy do the analysis, he's usually spot on. Bernstein gives me a head ache and I still want to punch Jim Gray in the face for what he did to Pete Rose that time.

Max is also pretty good and usually notices the little things that most of the other guys miss.

Id like a Lampley/ Teddy Atlas duo but they work for different companies obviously. Atlas is far better than Roy Jones or Max imo.

Yeah, Max is an excellent boxing guy.

He's annoying as hell when he covers any other sport though.

Max is a true boxing historian. He knows his shite! People don't like him because he comes off like a douche occasionally, but he is legit when it comes to his boxing knowledge. I like him ringside, but I think he'll be doing backstage interviews for the PPV. I believe they are grooming him to take over for Lampley whenever that day comes.

I am not a Roy fan as a commentator. Loved him in the ring; hate him on the mic. I prefer Paulie & Ward over Roy. And I like Antonio Tarver over all of them.

Brian Kenny is legit too. He knows boxing backwards & forwards.

It's a co-production.

Jim Lampley, Al Bernstein and Roy Jones Jr will call the fight.

Max Kellerman will report from Pacquiao's side / Paulie Malignaggi will report from Mayweather's side.

Michael Buffer will introduce Pacquiao / Jimmy Lennon Jr will introduce Mayweather.
