Funny that 3 of the "worse defensive players in the league"James and ryno and Gordon have a defensive rating of 101.6 i.e. Good enough for 5th in the league if we were fortunate enough to have all 3 on the floor at all times.

So Daryl Morey gets Executive of the Year this year, right?

I want this award.

You know I'm think that coach D and Gordon running away with COY and 6th man respectively may not be a good sign for James MVP chances. How many voters are gonna vote for that many guys from one squad? Gordon and MIke prob have even stronger arguments for their respective awards than James does.

This.

Otherwise this debate is about Eric Gordon & Ryno vs. Adams and Dipo

Are you denying that Ryno and Gordon are bad defenders?

Defensive rating is a team stat. They are obviously defending well as a team, and one player can drastically manipulate that rating.

Gordon at least tries hard. There's no defending Ryno's Defense and even a homer like you should be able to admit that.

I've been pleasantly surprised with all of their defense. Not one player has stuck out as a poor defender.

They are all playing well as a team on defense.

Ryno tries hard too he has had 2 big blocks in games in the last week in the last minute or two when the game was within a few possessions. Gordon he's just a all around solid defender.

Just because they didn't play hard for your trash organization doesn't mean they aren't playing hard here. You don't get a top 5 equivalent d rating with three of the worse defenders in the league like you claim Bubba. The three worse defenders in the league can't post that kinda d rating if they had hakeem and Gary payton out there with them.

Sure they can.

They didn't magically change. They are being hidden. Ryan Anderson played very hard, he just really sucks defensively.

Gordon probably didn't give a frick, that is true.

You don't hide 3 players out of 5.

I agree that Ryan Anderson has problems defensively. But Harden and Gordon have good instincts. They just need to stay focused, which is easier to do on a good team.

Harden did "magically change." The guy gave zero fricks last year. He came into the season in horrible shape after spending the offseason with an ankle sprain and a Kardashian. This year, you can clearly see that he is in much better shape.

I've watched every game. They're all playing well on defense. Even Ryan Anderson.

You can't hide everybody. And you can only hide a defender if the rest of the team is made up of good defenders.

I know it is surprising, as it's been a surprise to me, but they are all defending well.

It's impossible to argue with guys who clearly haven't watched the games. RIght now, they are refusing to accept that players aren't motivated at all to play hard for the Pels. If they watch the Rockets, they will quickly realize that is the only explanation.

Maybe their offense is so good that they put so much pressure on the opponent to keep up with them scoring the ball that the opponent ends up forcing bad shots.

Could also be that the offense comes so easily for them that they have more energy to spend on defense.

Maybe a combination.

The fact is though that they are defending well and I've been pleasantly surprised.

Well, he said they tried hard for the Pels, and I believe him. I'm sure there's more to it than effort.

Did you see me mention Harden?

Harden has always had the ABILITY to defend he just didn't give a flying frick about it and did inconsistently. He's defending well this year. We will see if he keeps it up (he probably won't), but he's definitely defending well.

I don't care what any stat says about Ryan Anderson. That dude cannot defend for shite. He sucks.

This is one of the stupidest things I've ever read.

Ryan Anderson tried his arse off, he just cannot defend. Anything else is complete bullshite.

Eric Gordon tried as well and was good on D in spurts, but he's way to small to switch and his athleticism was robbed due to injury. If he's gotten his athleticism back and you're running a system where he's just never switched on anyone I could see him being somewhat adequate.

Well P you did tell pels talk in the offseason that HOU would put together a middle of the pack kinda defense. In fact there's a poster over there who is gonna be literally eating his ballsack when CC finishes top 16 or 17 whatever the exact number was
