Has there ever been a more undeserving Heisman winner than '75 Archie Griffin?

Not sure why I just thought about this but whatever. As most know he is the only 2x Heisman winner, so you would think his production and achievements should be practically unparalleled. His '74 season was mighty fine so no issues there. But lets look at his senior year in '75 when he won his second.
262 carries for 1,450 yards (5.5 avg), 4 Touchdowns.
Folks, that is not heisman worthy. And before you say that times were different back then, here are some observations regarding national leaders that year:
-Archie had the 8th most carries that year. You would think with such pedestrian numbers maybe he missed half the year or something. Nope.
-He was 6th nationally in rush yards. Of note is that Tony Dorsett had over 200 more yards on the year in less carries!
-He was 54th in YPC
-He ranked in the mid-100s in rushing TDs
Has there been anyone since that was less deserving?

Eric Crouch in 2001.
Voting Info and Comparisons
He was the last of the so-called lifetime achievement award winners.

who were the other finalists that year?
Posted on 2/15/17 at 11:59 am to WG_Dawg
Derrick Henry- Watson got robbed
Lamar Jackson- Pedestrian against good defenses
RGIII- lol
Not in any order.
Great college players (obviously). But Lamar Jackson didn't have much competition and RG3 was always overrated imho. TM7 was a better candidate. Not saying the Honey Badger should've won, but RG3 was overhyped
Basically the formula for winning the heisman is:
Be a dual threat QB and get ESPN to ride your dick

I think George Rodgers is considered the worst by most talking heads.

who were the other finalists that year?
A senior RB from CAl that had 10 less yards on 40 less carries, but 9 more TDs
A JR RB from USC that had over 100 more carries, 500 more yards, and 9 more TDs
And Tony Dorsett, JR RB that had 10 less carries, 200 mor eyards, and 9 more TDs
Waht's even crazier is that the ballot wasn't even close either. Archie had 1800 points while 2nd place ended up with 730.

Why do you not say their names
Chuck Muncie played for the Saints and Rikcy Bell went #1 over Dorsett

They were a bit before my time

RGIII
Jackson and Henry deserved the Heisman. Hnery led his team to a national title, and came up big in all of Bama's big games. Jackson put up awesome numbers and also benefitted from the fact that there weren't any great candidates this year. RGIII I can get on board with
I'll also throw Troy Smith into the mix

But you looked up that stats was the name not listed
I was a kid when Muncie played for the Saints (and was traded to the Chargers ) remember hearing he was good in college, never looked at the stats, but that's a good call, though I wouldn't say Griffin was the worst, he had a good season but what's weird he was was worse the 2nd year, now a guy needs to do better to win say an MVP 2 years in a row
