Going with a stripe down the pants-leg or using black pants? I'm down with the tradition thing, but a little variance wouldn't hurt.

Well to be technical, "Navy" is the color. My only point is that even schools like Notre Dame will go with their Green jerseys every once and a while. The fact that Penn St. would use a alternate Uni for special occasions would hardly damage tradition.

Well to each his own. I doubt that I'm the first one to wonder this very thing about Penn St's Unis. It's interesting that most colleges have not been so dogmatic about having only one Home and Away Uni.

i don't know how true it is, but joepa has said he never wanted to tweek the uni's. supposedly he never wanted to change or go with special uniforms so that it would be immediately apparent to anyone that penn state was playing without having to be told by the announcers.

Most schools also have horrible looking uniforms, while Penn St. looks good. The traditional look is football, the SWAC look sucks
