Indy doesn't use him the right way

I feel like other fan bases knight for Trent just as much or more than Alabama fans. We need to give up on Ingram though, at least for now. No biggie though, we have a new RB to pimp. Did ya see Lacy almost get 100 yards?!

I'm a full on gump and love Julio to death and I have no issues with someone saying Green>Julio. As others have stated, they're two totally different WRs and both beasts. I'd take Julio over D. Thomas all day, though.

Also, people say Julio has other weapons to take the heat off of him, but Green is pretty much the Bengals only option so he gets targeted a lot more.

that is with Matt Ryan not being able to hold onto the ball for more than 2 secs due to the falcons oline.

During the Broncos game they were showing how that was all the time Manning needed.

I say yes.

If AJ had similar talent around him this might be a different conversation. Julio has taken that next step this year. He is a monster and Top 3 in the league at his position. AJ can do much the same, but not so far this year.

I'd still prefer Green, but I wouldn't be upset with either on my team.

I do think a lot of people are sleeping on Green this season because of matchups and QB play. He's faced Ike Taylor, Joe Haden and Aqib Talib in three straight weeks, and he has shithead Andy Dalton attempting to throw the ball straight AND down the field. Certainly a tall order for Mrs. Dalton

haven't really had many chances to see AJ Green play since he plays for the Bengals.

Julio went up a notch in my book when he had a nice postseason against Seattle and San Fran.

once Tony G. retires, he should be the leading pass catcher for them and Roddy White is starting to get a little old.

I do think that Julio benefits from playing in a better offense though.

So I don't even bother comparing Green and Julio's stats head-to-head.

I mean how pointless is that?

Green gets doubled a whole helluva lot more than Julio because teams have to account for so much more when playing ATL.

Julio has been doubled the entire year so far. Unfortunately, roddie white barely has 100 yards on the season and is injured yet again. I think his age has finally caught up to him.

he made that nice one handed catch in single cover against Cromartie tonight.

and the play before that when he called for offensive interference he was in single cover.

how many times did the Jets challenge them to throw it deep tonight with Cromartie on Julio?

seemed like a few. I wouldn't say he gets doubled that much. The Saints did double him a lot when we played them earlier in the year though but not ALL THE TIME.

You can't compare any QB in the NFL right now to Manning.

Cromartie and talib both played man on him a few times. Every time we get man ryan checks off and goes deep.

Unfortunately, most of the time he gets hit before he even has time to throw the ball.

I can't articulate just how bad the falcons offensive line is. It's legendary.

Talib did a surprisingly good job when he was in man with Julio

Talib completely shut him down until the last few minutes of desperation the falcons had. At that point, Ryan just started chunking it up to julio and hoping for the best.

I think he ended up with like 108 yards but hardly any of it was on talib.

These two will always be compared because of their college careers and draft class. AJ has been given the edge by most so far but I am thinking Julio has finally gotten it all together and solved his drop issues and possibly taken the lead this year. Just FYI I'm a UGA fan and NOT a falcons fan.

And they were the unanimous #1 and #2 WR in the same class out of HS. Played in the SEC together at two top SEC programs etc. Lots of reasons these two will always be compared.

Have you seen what defenses run against the Falcons in the red zone? Tony G doubled. JJ single.

There is a huge talent gap between Peyton Manning and Matt Ryan. If you could measure that gap, it would be the length of the Gulf of Mexico from Vera Cruz to Tampa Bay.

I would agree with this. But AJ is arguable too so that kind of defeats this comment.

I mean to me it's probably:

Calvin
AJ
Dez
Julio
Marshall
D. Thomas

I think 1 and 2 are more set to me than 3-5, and Thomas is 6 by a bit of a margin. I just like what AJ brings to the table more and what he can do as the only legit weapon on the team. Julio is a monster though

We are all forgetting Fitzgerald as well. Shame what happens when you are a great receiver with a subpar QB.
