Was Bush really the most beloved player in NOLA though at that time?

Reggie was more polarizing. A lot of fans "hated" him, even though that's not the right word, but a lot of fans were in his corner throughout.

Possibly the best one yet.

You may have a point, I've lived in Orlando for about 12 years now, and I don't know any either.

Is he no longer liked by Milwaukee fans?

I ask that honestly, I have no clue.

Expansion team + transplants moving to Orlando = very few diehards.

Ashley Cole, but he wasn't the most beloved player in London.

Not big on soccer, why did he become hated?

Only thing I know, or think I know of him is his girlfriend/wife was super hot.

Mark Sanchez is a good answer.

Has anyone ever liked Arod?

Left Arsenal, moved across town to Chelsea. Dissed the club on his way out.

After Brazil's disappointing 2006 World Cup exit, a statue of Ronaldinho was burned by some angry fans

If you're beloved enough to have a statue, and people are pissed enough to destroy it, I feel like that qualifies.

Don't know the details of what you're talking about, but I can't disagree much with this statement.

This wins.

With Aaron Brooks as second, IMO.

Agreed.

Can't believe I didn't think of Aaron Brooks, such a great one.

Like I said, I'll concede the Ronaldhino one, sounds good to me.

Answers to these questions are usually abroad, and the obvious choice is Andres Escobar. One of the most popular players in Colombia when they were among the top teams in the world going into the 1994 World Cup, but he scored an own goal and was murdered a few days after returning home.

Sadly, there is literally almost no better choice than Andres Escobar.
