Lamb will never be more than an 8th man maybe 7th best player on a good team. Maybe a Wesley Johnson type of guy.

Well, the filler is still better than nothing which they would have gotten if he just walked.

The problem isn't that they traded him, it's what they got.

They would've won the championship had they kept him. Can't be all that upset if he leaves for nothing after you win a title.

A possible title run with Harden in the last year of his deal might be better than what they got

No everything about trading him sucked. The fact that they could have pulled it off financially if the owner would've payed the luxury tax and the cap is now going up. Timing was awful right before the season was starting. They didn't view harden as a max guy so they clearly misevaluated what they had.

And Sonic fans everywhere do a fist pump...

Biggest lulz ever if KD and GOATbrook leave.

Someone should start a worst trade of all time thread so we can see who the other nominees are.

This is very good for the Hornets...this makes the Rockets significantly worse for years to come. Harden is an upgrade over Martin, but not by as much as people make it seem. Giving up a young prospect in Lamb and other future picks was Morey being an idiot as usual.

very favorable deal for OKC IMO.

Dude be happy, OKC just raped Houston if "significant draft picks" are actually significant

Houston just bent over and let OKC raw dog them

Here is the 'creampie' to the rapage.

Add in a 2nd rounder to an already ridiculous win by OKC

oklahoma city wins this easily IMO

What a terrible trade for Houston

Thunder just fricked the Rockets

OKC easily wins the deal imo. Solve the payroll problem. Add Lamb. Add 2 protected 1sts.

No way is Harden a #1 on an elite team imo

quote:
I feel like they have handcuffed themselves. This is a better roster than they had obviously, but they don't seem to be any closer to a championship and they have really limited themselves cap wise assuming they give Harden a max.

They have to pray Harden turns into a legit #1, but I have some doubts .

Harden was money in finals and Olympics. Agree, Houston steal

Rockets got fricked hard in this trade.

Can Houston get any more retarded?

lol they not did not lose anytihng, they got a very good scorer in martin who is a better defender than Harden will ever dream of being, and they got a young good prosepct in lamb who looks good so far.

damn the rockets are stupid.

I think the thing no one has mentioned is how much the lakers profit from this trade. If they can get any kind of chemistry, this move makes them heavy favorites in the West. OKC basically threw away a title run this season for the future, and I'm not sure how much better their future became.

SOCAL TIGER

Wonder what the picks were? The Rockets should get a sign a trade deal in place or he will be gone at the end of the year.

Huge win for OKC.

Perkins would qualify for the Early Bird Exception I believe.

Jeremy Lamb will be a stud.

CtotheVrzrbck

Watch more hoops bro. This will turn out to be more Presti magic. Harden dissapeared in the finals, he's a defensive liability, and honestly a 6th man can't be getting huge contracts.

Lamb may not be as skilled offensively but he's better defensively. Ibaka was the more important piece there's no question to that. I'd assume OKC got 2 first rd. picks and maybe 2 2nd rd'rs too.

OKC was able to shred bad draft picks in Aldrich and the other guy, Maynor will be back and healthy and Cook actually sucks, and then avoid the salary disputes and issues that would have dissolved the team by having payroll heavy on 3 or 4 guys not leaving enough to build quality depth or sign draft picks. The picks from the Rockets will be lottery picks so the type of new blood coming in should be more talented than the picks 28-32.

At the end of the next 4 years the trade should be very positive for OKC and who gives a crap about the Rockets.

On another note do the lakers now have a cakewalk to the NBA finals?

Lol. That's ridiculous, considering they had him and didn't.
Obviously they'd have had better odds, but that's a dumb statement
