Harden has averaged 35.7 PPG through 42 games (42.5 in the past 19 games).

If he keeps pace, he'll surpass Jordan's 37.1 mark by mid-March

MJ’s scoring record? Wilt averaged over 50 PPG in 1962.

If he keeps pace, he will average 35.7 ppg. Because that's what his pace is right now.. ??

I think he meant the "42.5 ppg in the last 19" pace.

Obviously James could do that if he wanted to, but he is not that kinda guy. just the other game he has 48 and the lakers were fouling to get the ball back and hardwn let Eric Gordon catch the inbounds to get fouled. At least twice. Maybe even 3 times. most guys would have wanted the ball so they could get 50 in three games in a row.

He went 1-17 from 3 in a game.

He's definitely that guy.

At a 39% three point shooter my back of the napkin math tells me that happens about once every 250 games. So every three seasons. I’ll wait with baited breathe for the next time he does it in three years where you can remind me that it isn’t the first time it has happened.

You should probably stop posting about the NBA for a while

I was watching and noticed this. I thought for sure he would try to get to 50 but he never did, even though it would have been easy. Gotta say I was impressed and surprised at the same time. Harden is a good dude.

Jordan averaged more FT per game that season than Harden is this season.

Jordan also averaged 27 2 PT FGAs per game, a shot where you're likely to get fouled.

Harden averages about 10 2 PT FGAs per game. It is a sham.

Wasn't done after the NBA/ABA merger which happened in 1976.

You can't score if you don't shoot.

Every trip down court.

so after there were twice the teams and players, and a 3 pt shot, wasn't it a lot easier.

What does the merger represent to you?
