Not sure what to think. I want to believe there is a plan, but I have a feeling a rebuild is coming soon.

Sacramento has been pushing hard for permission to speak to Dave Joerger and he's moved to top of Kings' list, sources tell @TheVertical.

So who made a bigger mistake.... Pacers or Grizzlies? Both coaches were instrumental for their teams, even after Bird tried to change the complexion of the team Vogel did a good job of righting the ship and getting them in the playoffs.

Sources: For second time in three years, Joerger was seeking Memphis permission to talk with other teams on vacancies. Grizzlies let him go.

You're given a team with Lance Stephenson and Matt Barnes, and then get fired. I feel bad for him. But maybe this is a blessing for DJ. He's a good coach.

Oh. That changes things a bit. I assume he and the FO didn't get along then?

Ahh, that changes everything. He wanted to go. I guess the Kings have a better upside. He might be taking a pay cut though, no taxes in TN.

I think he was pretty put off by the front office's inability to attract talent worth a shite in free agency.

Wasn't that the same situation with Lionel Hollins?

There was a good article I think Stein or Lowe did about the Grizzlies ownership situation and I could definitely see Joerger wanting out.

No different than the Pels firing Monty. Both didn't deserve it. And I am really not surprised as to how they handled the Lionel Hollins situation.
