He has been on some very good TEAMS.

Obviously. I never said he wasn't. But playing in San Diego is much different than playing in New York or Chicago or Dallas in terms of recognition regarding his career.

Since Dan is the greatest to lace em up, it's easily him.

You've missed Phillip Rivers his entire career, then.
Nope. I've seen his entire career. Cam Newton is the Usain Bolt of crybaby QBs.

I disagree and I'll just leave it at that.

When Otto Graham played in the pre-Johnny Unitas/Y. A. Tittle days, I don't think any QB alive then approached his proficiency and dominance at the position: he was a 3x league MVP, 7x first team all-pro, perennially top 5 in passing yards and passing TDs throughout his career, 5x he was the highest rated passer, 5x he led the NFL in pass yards/game, he remains top 3 all-time in Y/C, and he led the Browns to 10 straight championship games, winning 7. He also had two seasons where he passed for 64% and 59% pass completion in the era when the league average was 47%. He embodied winning to the fullest extent next to probably Bart Starr in an all-time context.

Otto graham was all that. Many years in row winning nfl championship. His greatest feat was leading the rookies vs nfl champ packers in hall of fame game.
Some rookies were grahams teammates at cleveland in aa league. Rookies were huge dogs. Rookies led by graham stomped the packers.
Graham played pro hoops too.

That's his point. Anderson, running a Bill Walsh-type offense, was head and shoulders above most of his peers in completion %.

I'd go with Warren Moon and Dan Marino at 1. Moon's stats are skewed based on being in the CFL to prove himself.

They both were awesome but couldn't get there.

LOL now I'm starting to convince myself that Fran Tarkenton and Ken Anderson may have just as viable a claim as Dan the Man.

Ken Anderson was a league MVP in 1981 like Dan was in 1984, led his team to the same amount of Super Bowls(1), led the league in passer rating 4x, was one of the most accurate QBs of the 1970s when the league pass completion average was 52%, was a 3x all-pro, wasn't interception-prone, passed for 12.4 Y/C his career, 9x was top 10 in pass completion pct(3x led league), twice led the league in passing, and led the Bengals to their most extended success in franchise history until Dalton.

Fran Tarkenton led the Vikings to 3x as many Super Bowls as Marino, retired holding every major passing record, was an NFL MVP as well, 15 seasons top 10 in passer rating, 17 seasons top 10 in passing(led league in 1978, his final season), 16 seasons top 10 in passing TDs(led league in 1975), career 12.8 Y/C, 17 seasons top 10 in pass completion pct(led league in 1977), led 30 comebacks(7th all-time currently), and top 7 all-time in total offense. Holy shite.
