Tiger did have 18 birdies this weekend

Minor correction. I think it was 18 for the 4 days. If that's correct they were offset by a hell of a lot of bogies and doubles or worse.

Ok. Let's not get carried away. He doesn't need to have Phil Mickelson's entire career. He needs to win 4 tournaments.

My point was that Phil Mickelson is a Hall of Fame golfer. He'll probably go down as one of the Top 10 golfers ever...and he's won 5 majors. Tiger needs 4. Its pretty damn hard to win a major in the first place and we're asking Tiger to win as many as Ernie Els has in 22 years. Not only that, we're asking him to do it in a field that is tougher than ever. Tiger would need to start to get his shite together quick. No more sabbaticals. If he can somehow turn the switch on and get back to the level he once was, then he could certainly do it...but given his track record over the last several years, the odds aren't in his favor.

Personally, I hope he does it.

Sorry I meant the week. Yes there were a lot of terrible holes, but the guy has played 2 1/2 tourneys all year. His game is showing progress. Short game is better and his approach shots are the best on tour. He will turn it around quickly

I think golf is gonna ebb and flow like other sports. Tiger playing well is gona help, sure.

But the peak is in the past. Maybe it'll get back to a form of its' old popularity when Spieth and Patrick Reed are dominating US golf/Ryder cup.

It'd be nice if courses would stop closing/losing money.

And thisis the sports fault... Golf is a very expensive hobby......... Plus you have the youth of America too busy playing on the cell phones and inside playing fricking video games in stead of outside finding some else to do.... But then again to be any good at golf it takes practice and patience.todays youth does not want to make time for that... However I enjoyed both Sat and Sun very much.

They're all too busy pullin out their wieners for some girl on an app, or trying to beat the next level on a video game.

Most of these stupid frickin kids today don't have the brain capacity to do anything for 4 hours at a time, other than playing with their wieners on the computer.

Very true. Buddy of mine has a 10 years old who could be good if he played, but he can't get him on the course for longer than an hour or two.

Interesting times we live in. Other sports must be going through the sane thing.

Imagine how bad it's gonna be when your little one is about 15 or 16! I don't envy you.

Well, I'm younger than you.
I'm stronger than you.
I've got more horses than you.
I've got more torque than you.
I've got more Nitro than you.
You're not envious of me cause your brain is getting mushy like your booty.

Tiger brought golf into modern times when he first hit the PGA. Sponsorships and a whole new viewing demographic. Today's up and comers have benefited greatly from all the money dumped into golf in the past 20 years.

That is a major if..... However, Tiger will be facing much better competition than in his glory days. Tiger was the first of his kind like a Tony Gonzales. He was an athlete who played golf, now most of the young generation fits this mold. You are not going to see many young guys rocking the Collin Montgomery body any time soon. Even if Tiger can regain what he once had, no one is scared of him anymore. Also, these young guys can ball (see Speith at the Master's). Golf is in great hands, we are going to see more playoffs and more records broken. Its a great time to be a golf fan.

Colin Montgomery has bigger tits than half the women on LSU's campus.

You think swinging a driver 110 mph is tough, and hitting it down the middle?
Try doing it with rack of double d jugs and a FUPA.
